Siva Dubs for Siddharth for Sridhar (Tamil Oh My Friend)

Siddharth is one Tollywood star who doesn’t need others to dub his films in Tamil. He is a Tamilian and lends his own voice to all his Kollywood flicks.

However, for Sridhar, the Tamil version of Telugu hit O My Friend starring Siddharth, Hansika and Shruti, the actor has let another Tamil actor dub his parts. Upcoming Tamil actor, Sivakarthikeyan, has been picked for this job.

Sources said when the makers approached Siddharth to dub for the Tamil version, the actor refused. Note that Siddharth had said much the same on Twitter when fans asked him about Sridhar and its prospects of being dubbed by him. He had tweeted at the time, “Guys, there is no way I’m going back to a dubbing theater to dub a new language version of any of my older films. No way! Not now.Not ever.” Being a man of his words there’s hardly any surprise in the fact that he did in fact not dub for the Tamil version, even if it has a supposedly positive commercial outcome.

The movie’s producer, who is promoting Sridhar as a straight Tamil film, approached Siva for dubbing. “Siva’s voice exactly matches Sid’s. We are relieved,” said a unit hand who has already seen Sridhar.
