Rajashekhar Should Learn from Siddhu!!
12 Mar 2009 | | Prathna

He is called as the angry man of Tollywood but then it must be admitted that he still stutters when it comes to speaking Telugu. He is none other than Rajasekhar and right now he is making it to the headlines for a negative reason.

It is being said by many that despite spending so many years in the Telugu circuit and having married a Telugu lady, Rajasekhar still finds it hard to speak Telugu fluently. He is being compared to the southern stud Siddharth who manages to speak Telugu without a hitch and also manages to sing songs.

Now, people are saying that Rajasekhar should take a leaf or two from Siddharth and do something about his language. Given the fact that he has now got into politics also, it is important that he must be working on his communication skills in a big way if he has to make his mark.

Siddharth Wants to Remake Parthala Bhairavi
12 Mar 2009 | | Prathna

Bollywood always welcomes South Indian actresses, but rarely South Indian actors! Critics say that South Indian actors are normally not as handsome or good-looking as North Indian actors; hence they are more often chosen for their acting abilities and talents alone. Whatever the reasons, South Indian biggies like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Arvind Swami and Madhavan have already made their presence felt in Bollywood, that too after appearing in a very limited number of Hindi movies.

Siddharth Narayan, the Aamir Khan of South India, is the most recent addition to the list. After the success of the highest-grossing Rang De Basanti, this dark brooding guy with a charming smile and boy-next-door looks is currently working on his next Hindi film Striker!

When asked about rumours that he is likely to remake Imtiaz Ali's Bollywood romantic comedy Jab We Met (2007) starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, Siddharth reportedly said he is not interested in remaking movies. "People have approached me to do a remake of Jab We Met, but I decided to opt out. If I ever do a remake, I’d choose one that’s a few decades old, which the present-day audience is not familiar with. If I'd chose to remake an old film, it would be Pathala Bhairavi (1960),” Siddharth was quoted as saying.

After nearly two years of lying low from Tollywood with the failure of Aata, diehard optimist Siddharth is now back with his latest Koncham Ishtanga Koncham Kashtanga (KIKK), directed by Kishore, starring Tamannaah in the female lead. Based on the consequences faced by children due to the parents' ego, the film was released on 5th February.

Siddharth's forthcoming Telugu film Oye is readying for release this summer. Directed by debutaned Anand Renga, an associate of Bhaskar in Bommarillu, Oye stars actress Shalini's younger sister Shamili (who won the prestigious National Award in 1991 for her amazing portrayal in ace Mani Rathnam’s Anjali as a mentally-challenged child). D.V.V. Danayya is producing this flick under Universal media banner.
