MUMBAI, MAY 23 (TNN) Tollywood heartthrob Siddharth is back and this time, he’s acting in a movie titled Konchem Ishtamga Konchem Kashtamga.

The shooting is on in Hyderabad. Nallamalapu Srinivas is the producer of the film being directed by Kishore (Dolly) and has Tamanna in the lead. And we all know by now that Siddharth is not just proving his mettle down South, but has good offers in Bollywood too. He is busy shooting for a Hindi film Striker, based on the life and times of a real-life carom whiz, Suryakant, from the slums of Malavni, being directed by Chandan Arora. After RDB, Siddharth was flooded with offers but he turned down many projects, wanting to be selective in his work. He’s even turned down Rakeysh Mehra’s Delhi 6 and David Dhawan’s film. For his role in Striker, he has met Suryakant several times. He has also spent sizeable time in Malavni to get the feel of the place. Padma Priya, who acted in many Southern films, is playing the female lead along with Vidya Malvade, who acted in Chak De! India and model Nicolette Bird. Going by Siddharth’s eye for doing it right, we’re sure he’ll strike it rich, again.

Siddharth could have bagged a major place in the Telugu film industry if he did not disappear from time to time. He was not seen in a Telugu film after Aata, but was said to be busy with a Hindi flick.

Now, Siddharth is back, starring opposite Tamanna in a Nallamalupu Bujji production being directed by Dolly (who earlier worked with V.V. Vinayak). Tentatively titled Konchem Ishtamga Konchem Kashtamga, the movie’s shooting started at Rama Naidu Studios recently.

A special set was erected especially for the film at Rama Naidu Studios and shooting is proceeding at a brisk pace. Shankar-Ehsan Loy are composing music.

Hrithik Roshan was director Onir’s first choice to play the eponymous Hamlet. Now, he has cast Siddharth who, it is said, has agreed in principle to play the tragic hero.

For the role of Ophelia, Onir was keen on Chitarangada Singh who’s playing the lead in his Sorry Bhai. Reportedly, following her tantrums on the Mauritius locations, he is now contemplating to cast Siddharth’s steady date, Soha Ali Khan.
