Siddh Misses Out!
10 Aug 2007 | | Prathna

2007 South Filmfare Awards was a much awaited event for all that were part of the blockbuster Bommarillu and the night served well for its anticipating audiences!

Bommarillu managed to bag Best Movie, Best Director and Best Actress however our very own Siddharth missed out on the Best Actor trophy as it was Prince Mahesh who took the trophy home at the end of the day (not literal since Mahesh did not attend)

However producer Dil Raju, director Bhaskar and ofcourse actress Genelia would be in full celebration currently!

Sorry Siddharth! Better luck next time! However Siddh does have one thing to celebrate is that the tally of awards for Bommarillu was higher than the blockbuster Pokiri! Now that was some tough competition to beat!

Sukumar to direct Siddarth?
13 Jul 2007 | | Prathna

Sources say that director Sukumar is likely to do a film for BVSN Prasad (producer of Chatrapati). The hero of the film is none other than Siddarth, according to unconfirmed reports.

Sukumar's previous film Jagadam did not do great at the box office. After Jagadam, Sukumar is said to have readied a script with all commercial values. If this combination comes together, it sure makes a good project.

Who said Siddharth is not intelligent?
10 Jul 2007 | | Prathna

Siddharth was paid 15 lakhs for Nuvvosthanante Nenoddhantana. MS Raju promised him a little more if it did well. After the film had a resounding success at the box-office, he wasn’t paid as promised. Nothing surprising because it’s a general MS Raju habit. Siddhu intelligently quoted 1.8 crore for Aata and MSR agreed but didn’t pay that also. This 1.8 is supposed to be combined with NVNV. It came close to two crores for two films which is a general remuneration. On the other hand Prabhas was promised 30 for Varsham but was paid 15 and the amount he was paid for Pournami was 35 lakhs and that when his market value was 1.2 crore.

The difference between the two stories is that MS Raju needed Siddhu to do Aata as he had no projects in his hands but Prabhas needed MSR for Varsham and Prabhu Deva for Pournami as he had NVNV to his credit, so Siddhu demanded what Prabhas could not.

Dol baje dol baje…

We all know about Siddhu’s multi talent, be it his versatile acting skills, his crooning abilities or his direction abilities (he worked with Mani Ratnam and even provided story and screenplay for Chukkalo Chandrudu) but this new talent of Siddhu has surfaced recently..that of a drummer is earning him accolades. Today there was a hidden talent contest in Bottles and Chimneys and Siddhu played the drums for non-stop 10 minutes, people there were surprised and loved every minute he was on it. The other surprising factor about this party was that Siddhu was accompanied by Sumanth (whatz cooking with this new-found friendship) who rushed him away in his car as soon as the performance was over, so was Sumanth jealous about Siddhu’s hidden talent or was he possessive of his friend?
